Acupuncture

top Acupuncture channels are a non-visible network that moves Qi to every parts of the body, thus sustaining life.  Wellness depends on Qi, or vital energy, being evenly spread throughout the channels, and a blockage or imbalance in the flow of Qi in any area of the body can bring about illness and dis-ease.

By consulting with the patient and examining the tongue, pulse, abdomen, and general appearance of the face, skin,  hair, voice and other traits, the acupuncturist makes a diagnosis.  She then selects appropriate points to stimulate to help normalize the flow of qi in the meridians and restore health.

California state law requires that all acupuncturists  use single use, disposable, pre-sterilized filliform needles. Brie uses only ultra-fine Japanese needles that are much thinner in gauge than other needles, and are therefore the most comfortable.  Each needle comes pre-sealed in its own package and is disposed of immediately after use.  She may also choose to treat points with non-needle modalities, such as magnets, pressure, or warming therapy.
